Golden Mallet - Advantage Golf Doubles for Div 2 & 3 players only
Event information
CONDITIONS OF PLAY
· Events will run according to the Rules and Regulations as published by Croquet Queensland Assoc. Inc. and in keeping with ACA Rules and Regulations.
· Starting time 8.00am for 8.30 am start of play. Cost of entry is $50 per team and includes lunch.
· Participants must have a current registration number with ACA.
· Teams can comprise any combination of Division 2 (hcp 5-8) and Division 3 (hcp 9+) players (ie 1 of each or both Div 2 or both Div 3) and male and female.
· Referees will be supervising referees.
· Handicap card to be presented at registration for verification.
· The Team handicap is calculated as the average of the 2 team members, rounded up if necessary.
· Team handicap decides the starting position for each match. Advantage Golf allocates the team’s starting position for each match as a difference in starting scores as per the Table of Starting Scores 20224/25 revision from the WCF website.
· Handicap cards to be completed at the end of every game. Type of game is indicated as "A" for Advantage, not "H" for handicap. Index points will change as per handicap doubles format ie +/- 5.
· Teams will be grouped into 2 blocks of 6. Games will be double banked and timed.
· Time is 50 minutes.
· Game scores during a match will be kept using a single counter (provided) by the “stronger” team. The score must be announced by them after the running of every hoop. The score is announced as the “stronger” team first. Pegs will not be used.
· Games finish on the bell if teams had different starting positions. Winner is decided by “% hoops run” in accordance with Advantage rules.
· If teams start at the same position ie 0/0, and scores are tied after 50 mins, then finish the hoop being contested for a result.
· Dress: comfortable – however, we do encourage wearing club colours.
· The Tounament Manager has the final decision concerning all matters affecting the running of the event.
· A group photo may be taken during the day.
· The winners of each block will play off for 1st and 2nd.
· Photography will occur during play. Award Presentation photography will be used for promotional purposes – Sponsors/newspaper/magazines etc.
· The Southport CC is situated beside the Light Rail tram stop, Broadwater Parklands.
The names of the winners will be recorded on Perpetual Shield held at Southport Croquet Club.
