GOLDEN MALLET
Sunday saw our annual Golden Mallet golf competition played at Southport. It is a doubles competition for only Div2 and Div3 players and is played using the new Advantage handicap system.

We had a good representation from our Club as well as other players from Qld and NSW. Apart from a few showers, it was superb playing weather. It is a big day playing 5 matches but in the end, it was Julia Tai (Southport) and Ros Crowe (Toronto NSW) who came from behind to beat James Bate and Andrew Mangan ( both from Cherry St Ballina) by the narrowest of margins.

A big thankyou to all the members that helped with the food (no-one certainly left hungry), timekeeping and refereeing. A very enjoyable day had by all.
