. This was a social event organised by parents of The Southport School and Southport Croquet Club to welcome about 30 new Year 7 boarders to the Gold Coast and to their new school. Farming families from far flung western towns like Narrabri, Moree, Inverell and even across the border into the Northern Territory, gathered together to enjoy a sausage sizzle and a game of croquet before the start of their first term at TSS. Thanks to all SCC volunteers who helped to make this lively event a successful experience for all who attended.
