The club was buzzing yesterday as a lively crew of 20 - somethings fired up the barbie and celebrated a 29th birthday in style - croquet mallets in one hand, and sausages in the other.
Everyone had a swing at the game (some suspiciously good on their first go - future champs in the making!), and a few have already said they'll be back for our "Come & Try Croquet" sessions -part of the Council's community initiative we proudly support every third Sunday of the month.
It was sunny with a cheeky breeze to keep us on our toes - perfect croquet weather, if you ask us! A hugh shoutout to Gerald and Mike, two of our club's finest volunteers, who patiently and brilliantly coached the lot through their first hits and hoop runs.
Cheers to a cracking day and check out the happy snaps from a laughter-filled lawn croquet party!
